Borderlands 4 Weekly Reset: A Farmable Legendary Sniper This Week

It’s Thursday reset week on Kairos, and for a loot goblin that’s the best day of the week. Borderlands 4’s weekly activities rotated on 15 October 2026 through a server-side update, so there’s no download, just restart the game.

    This week’s loot run

    • Weekly Big Encore Boss: Core Observer, a tougher variant with a richer loot pool.
    • Weekly Wildcard Mission: Rising Action (Centripetal, Sulfur Hexafluoride, Wealthy).
    • Guaranteed Legendary reward: the Symmetry, an Order sniper rifle, which you can farm repeatedly for your ideal roll.
    • Maurice’s Black Market Vending Machine has moved and changed its offerings, and each player’s items are different.

The last numbered patch was Version 1.10 on 10 September 2026, according to the official update notes.

Magpie verdict: a guaranteed Legendary you can farm over and over? Harlowe and I will be busy.

Battlefield 6 Season 5: Siege of Vegas Drops a Jackpot of New Loot

Shiny alert! Battlefield 6 just rolled into Season 5: Siege of Vegas, and this magpie’s eyes went straight to the four new weapons and a fresh Battle Pass full of loot.

    What’s in Update 2.1.1.0

According to EA’s official Game Update 2.1.1.0 notes, the update arrived on Tuesday 13 October 2026, with Season 5 content unlocking later that day. Highlights:

    • Season 5: Siege of Vegas, with fighting across the Vegas Strip and Area 51.
    • Four new weapons and a new Battle Pass.
    • REDSEC gets Rapid Royale, and Ranked Battle Royale officially launches beyond Battlefield Labs with redesigned Ranked badges and new rewards.
    • A limited-time Battlefield 6 x Dead Space: Convergence Event.
    • A broad Anti-Air balance pass, plus updates to tank damage angles, regeneration, vehicle weapons, rockets and Anti-Vehicle Mines.
    • Spectator Mode updates, expanded Portal tools, and polish across weapons, gadgets, UI, HUD, audio and stability.

    Hotfix on 15 October

Two days later a hotfix landed to fix an issue that could make audio cut out until you restarted the game. Airstrikes in Rapid Royale were also temporarily disabled while the developers look into them (report via MP1st).

Magpie verdict: new guns, new Vegas maps, and Area 51? There’s definitely alien loot in there somewhere.

  • WARDOGS Season 2 Is Live: New Guns, New Tanks and Rain

WARDOGS Season 2 Is Live: New Guns, New Tanks and Rain

Cash is king in WARDOGS, and Season 2 just made the shop a lot shinier. BULKHEAD released Update 0.2.0 on 15 October 2026, after a maintenance window from 08:00 to 09:30 UTC (09:00 to 10:30 UK time).

    New loot

    • Four new weapons: TCX-SPR assault rifle (7.62x39mm), PP-19 Bizon SMG (9x19mm), Evo-3 Ultra LMG (.308 Win) and M14 marksman rifle (.308 Win).
    • Four new vehicles, including the T-72B3 tank and the Gepard.
    • The Molotov, plus updates to range finders and helmets.
    • A new rain weather preset.
    • New buildables, including an MG Nest and a Large Shelter.

    Balance and economy

The notes cut base damage for high-calibre rounds, rebalance armour and suppression, speed up progression, and change prices and build costs. The Wager Vendor, where you bet your own cash on your own performance, isn’t in at launch and is planned for later in the season.

Magpie verdict: more guns to buy, more tanks to crash, and a vendor that lets you gamble your loot? Hide the wallet.
